The SUMI corner plates are designed by OJI Masanori based on traditional details of the ARITA ware. 
I am a ‘Sumi’ Octagonal Plate. Not all people like things handed to them on a silver platter. Some prefer white matt porcelain.

JICON sources materials from multiple locations to achieve a unique blend of porcelain stones. As a result of this uniqueness, they are kilned at a much higher temperature than usual and also glazed with a special blend of glazes to attain off-white porcelain wares with matte texture.
